Meet the Staff

Dave Levit: President/CEO
In 1990 Dave Levit started Acutrak Solutions as a one man operation, doing repairs in a spare bedroom and offering live sound services. Today he has a staff of five working at his 6500 square foot modern facility.

Dave's specialties include: Sound System Design, Sound System Installation, System Alignment/Sound System Calibration utilizing SmaartLive and several other proprietary tools, Live Sound Engineer, Pro Audio Sales, Pro Audio Consulting.
 

Mike McDowell: Electronic Repair Technician
Mike has been the electronic repair technician for Acutrak since 1999.

Mike's duties include the repair of Power Amplifiers, Digital Mixing Consoles, Analog Mixing Consoles, Keyboards, Signal Processors, Guitar Amps, and Bass Amps. Mike is also a Sound Company Stage Tech and Engineer.

Paul DiMatteo: Speaker Repair Technician
Paul has been reconing speakers since 1980, and joined the Acutrak staff in 1993.

Paul's duties include Woofer Reconing, Tweeter Repair, Crossover Network Repair, Powered Speaker Service, Speaker Input Assembly Repair, and Speaker Enclosure Modifications.

Jim Matheson: Service Department Manager
Jim has been a Soundman since 1976, and joined Acutrak in 2001.

Call Jim with your questions concerning Repairs, Parts, Rentals and Live Sound. Five days a week it's Jim's voice that answers the phone. If Jim doesn't know the answer to your questions, he'll do the research and call you back. Jim also handles Quality Control Functional Testing for the repair department, and is a Sound Company Engineer and Stage Tech.

Bullwinkle (aka Bulli): Security
Things are never boring with Bulli around.

Bulli is in charge of Employee Morale and Customer Relations, and maintains the Frisbee inventory at Acutrak. Additional duties include keeping all squirrels and small furry animals at a safe distance from the perimeter. He is very friendly to all of the visitors whether they are adults, children, or doggies.
